Some countries seem so far or difficult to visit, you may even think of most African countries as a safari place; and while that last part is relatively true, there is much more to discover and visit in this amazing country. It is partially the home to one of the 7 natural wonders of the world.

In these modern pandemic times, it is very important to keep track of all the updates related to the country we are thinking of traveling to. That is why here we will give you all the relevant information about how to have a safe and entertaining trip to Zambia. Travel tips, the restrictions and measurements being taken by the government, and all that you can do while on a Kenya tourist eVisa.

Best time to visit Zambia

The best time to visit Zambia is between June and November, during its dry season. The skies are completely clear and blue. The temperatures during the day are hot and colder at night, sitting between 23°C to 36°C throughout the whole day. During this season the wildlife-spotting opportunities are plentiful.

The wet season, especially during January and February, is a great time to go to Victoria Falls and experience the “smoke that thunders” in all its glory. It is also a great time for bird watching since most herbivores give birth during this period. Even though rains may be falling it is a good time if you are not a fan of crowded vacations, and prices may decrease a little too. Temperatures will still be warm during this season.

Things to do

Zambia offers a lot of different things to do around, and it has something for all tastes, with a special inclination for adventurous plans. Additionally, this is one of the safest countries in Africa, anyways, you should always proceed with caution and listen to your guides.

Victoria Falls is one of the seven natural wonders of the world because it is considered the largest waterfall in the world. Located along the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe and formed by the Zambezi River, it is one of the main attractions in the country and has way more to offer than just going to watch the incredible view at the waterfall top.

In this same amazing spot, you can take a cruise along the Zambezi River to watch the sunset; it is a nice way to spend an afternoon navigating along the mighty river where you will have a tour of the river and its wildlife while enjoying some drinks and snacks. Also on the Zambezi River, opt for canoeing around and discover another way to enjoy the wildlife there.

Wildlife in Zambia

You can catch a helicopter flight to see Victoria Falls from up there, in all its glory, it is a quicker and less exhausting way to get spectacular views of the Falls. Check out the Devil’s Pool at the top of Victoria Falls when the season allows it. You will feel like you are on top of the world and it will be an experience you won’t forget, keep in mind that it is required to know how to swim.

Or have an excursion picnic lunch to Livingstone Island for a more adventurous plan, swim across a channel to finally get to the island and spend a lovely time with your favorite people.

Explore North Luangwa to see how Africa looked about a century ago, the wildlife around here is more diverse than in other areas and you can opt for a walking safari to discover. Wild camping is also an option in Zambia if you want to feel more in touch with the whole experience, no amenities here, and even putting up your own tent.

Always check the season when you are going and the activities available for that time.
