Tourism is allowed in Egypt and specific flights have also started resuming. Tourist can travel to Egypt as long as they fulfil the country’s COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines.

Egypt offers free visa for short stay of 14 days to Hong Kong, Bahrain, Kuwait, Lebanon (but for certain airports only on a charter flight), Oman, Macao, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Malaysia.

Guidelines for travellers to Egypt
Considering the consequences of Covid-19 outbreak, Egypt Government has implemented few safety guidelines for incoming tourists in the country. Such measures are helpful for both residents and tourists in terms of a safe stay in the country. Hence, before you enter the country, make sure you consider following the pointers listed below:
PCR TEST ON ARRIVAL
People arriving from any of below listed countries are subject to go for COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival:
Argentina, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Belize, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, Colombia, El Salvador, Ecuador, Guyana, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Myanmar, Mexico, Nicaragua, Nepal, Panama, Pakistan, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Sri Lanka, Uruguay, Vietnam and Venezuela.

Alternatively, travellers did not get their medical certificate before arriving on direct flights to any of the airports listed below, should go for a PCR test on arrival, which will cost them $30:
Quarantine Condition:
Egypt do not require any quarantine from the incoming passengers to their country. However, passengers are required to go for PCR test upon arrival, and make sure to stay in their respective hotel rooms until they receive their PCR test report. Passengers normally get the test results within 12 to 24 hrs. If tested positive, it’s a clear instruction for them to undergo 14 days self-isolation. Under such scenarios, the cost of the PCR test has to be paid by the passengers only.
